Morrell Gipson

Morrell Gipson grew up in South Carolina and now resides in New York City. She is the author of a dozen books for young children. Ms. Gipson has had a wide-ranging literary career; in addition to being an author she has edited hundreds of children's books for Doubleday, Scribner's, Crowell, Lippincott and Metheun. She has worked with such luminaries as Margaret Wise Brown, Leonard Weisgard, the d'Aulaires and Marguerite de Angeli.

Her education includes a Bachelor's Degree with honors in American History and Journalism from South Carolina College for Women.
